Pauri is a District of Uttarakhand

Pauri Garhwal is a district in Uttarakhand state of India. Its headquarters is at Pauri. Pauri Garhwal district is ringed by Haridwar, Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Almora and Nainital districts from three sides. Pauri Garhwal climent is very cold in winter and pleasant in summer. In rainy season the climate is very cool.The most common mode of transport is either bus or taxi. Bus services are provided by the state-run Uttarakhand Roadways, Garhwal Motor Owner Union (GMOU) Ltd. and Garhwal Motor Users (GMU) Ltd. Pauri, Kotdwar and Srinagar are major centers of education in the district. HNB (Hemvati Nandan Bahugana) Garhwal University is in Srinagar, Pauri.
